Ajoupa-Bouillon

The commune of L’Ajoupa-Bouillon created in 1889 would take its name from Jean Gobert, sieur de Bouillon, originally from Languedoc settled in the Marigot region in Martinique where he died in 1680 after having a house built on site (ajoupa : Creole shelter). This small flowery village shelters a completely marvelous site, “The Gorges of the Falaise River”.
